JUNETEENTH 2026
JUNE 20, 2026 was a day to remember. We had such a fantastic time. The weather was great and were were able to celebrate the whole time. The day kicked off with the annual African Heritage Parade coordinated by none other than our very own Orville Abrams. We honored the parade marshals, received support from our local elected officials, and vendors from all sectors. The day continued on with activities for the youth and children, live performances by local bands, dance groups, African drumming and so much more. If you could not make it this year, remember AMBACC celebrates Juneteenth on Saturday, the week of June 19. Next year prepare to join us for something big, Saturday, June 19, 2027!
Poetry & Jazz Night
AMBACC continues their mission on 365 Black. Men, women and all those alike were able to celebrate Black music and art on Juneteenth. A time was had and we appreciate all the poets, musicians and artists who were willing to share their passion and talents with us all.
Portrait Unveiling
Our teen photography program completed a wonderful project to honor many of the pillars of the Albany Community. They all have so much to be proud of and in their own right, deserved this portrait and dedication of their impact!
Special recognition to Mrs. Anne Pope, former NAACP President. Her portrait is to the left. We appreciate and recognize all the "Good Trouble" she got into on behalf of Black people.

AMBACC Celebrates Women's History Month
During Women's History Month, the Alice Moore Black Arts and Cultural Center partnered with others to celebrate women in Albany, NY, who are trailblazers in their own right. To end the month on a high note, a women's luncheon was provided at AMBACC. In the photos, several women of color in politics & governement were honored.

Black History Month Celebration
AMBACC celebrated Black History Month with the children. There was beautiful storytelling, arts and crafts and children showcasing their artistic ability through dance.
