On Friday, August 21, 2026, the Alice Moore Black Arts & Cultural Center welcomed community members, artists, poets, and supporters for our Summer Poetry Jam.

It was a beautiful evening filled with creativity, laughter, reflection, and connection. Each performer brought something uniquely their own to the room, sharing their words, stories, and talents in a way that made the evening feel personal and genuine.

We are deeply grateful to every performer who shared a piece of themselves with us, to our hosts for carrying the evening with warmth and energy, and to everyone who came out to listen, support, and simply be present.

Seeing the room filled with people connecting through art was a reminder of why these moments matter. At AMBACC, we want to continue creating a space where people feel welcome, where creativity can breathe, and where our community can come together and feel at home.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night what it was. We will carry the warmth of this evening with us for a long time.
